Woodland

Woodland United Methodist Church will host Christmas Eve Services at 6 p.m. Rev. Dave Bundy and his wife, Lynn, will present the serve as a thank you to the community and church. Holy communion will be shared.

Island ChristianFellowship

Island Christian Fellowship will celebrate on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. a cande light and communion service at the Holiday Island Clubhouse. Julie Stamper will be guest harpist.

New Hope

New Hope United Methodist Church will hold services on Dec. 24, 7 p.m., to celebrate the birth of Christ. The service will include singing favorite carols, communion, and a special inspirational Christmas message from Pastor Bill. Finally, the cherished candlelight tradition of passing of the light will be held. Childcare will be provided for children two and under.

The church will kick off its 200th anniversary celebration with a bell-ringing fund raiser, chicken pot pie lunch and bake sale on Sunday, Jan. 3, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Anyone who wishes may pull the bell rope for a $5 donation. Lunch plates will be $6, eat-in or take-out. Eat-in is all you can eat. There will be hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for children.

Snug Harbor

Snug Harbor Community Church (interdenominational) plans three services to celebrate Christmas.

A Christmas service will be held Dec. 21, 9 a.m., with guest soloist Julie Phelps, harpist. The Christmas cantata and candlelight services will follow that evening at 7 featuring guest soloist Caroline Wright.

A Christmas Eve service will be held Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. featuring songs, stories, testimonies. Doors open from 6—7:30 p.m.

Snug Harbor Community Church is located on Fir Street in the Snug Harbor area.

Bethel Baptist

Bethel Baptist Church will present “A Christmas in Dixie” by the combined choirs on Dec. 21, 11 a.m.

On Dec. 24, a Christmas Eve Moravian LoveFeast and candle lighting service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Bethel Baptist Church is located just off of Snug Harbor Road in the Bethel community.

Hertford UMC

The Hertford United Methodist Church Choir will present the Christmas cantata, “Together for Christmas,” on Dec. 21, during the 11 a.m. service.

The Cantata offers many familiar melodies as well as new songs, which Choir Director Rick Pronto believes will inspire you during the holiday season.

Good Shepherd

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold an Advent soup supper at 6:15 pm, followed by a wonderful, music-filled service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 17. For more info, call 338-6210 or visit www.goodshepherdec.com .
