County closer to OK’ing budget that hikes tax rate 13 cents

Pasquotank commissioners are closer to adopting next year’s county budget after agreeing last week to borrow about $735,000 less for vehicle replacements and roof work at Northeastern High School and College of The Albemarle.

Quit Borrowing! Children's Future??

Roof Repairs are a part of basic upkeep. That money should have been set aside for that purpose. If you have to borrow money for basic necessities, you have overspent somewhere else. How much do we already have in outstanding loans. Borrow the money for paper and ink and recreation.
