If the purpose of a rally Saturday at Elizabeth City State University was to convince students to vote in this election, organizers were largely preaching to the choir.

Democracy in action

For the past twelve and a half days I've watched van load after van load being bused to the polls. It's very interesting to witness democracy in action.

A Rally to vote for Obama, not just to vote..........

Wow, how biased can you be. This was a rally to get out and vote for Barack Obama, not to just get out and vote for the elections. A person should get out and vote for a candidate because of his/her qualifications not because of the color of his/her skin. The Daily Advance forgot to mention in the article that it was a rally for a specific candidate, Barack Obama. It amazes me how closed minded that our society still is. It's ok to be a Republican and it's ok to like a candidate that is of a different race. The color of one's skin does not determine the quality of a president.

Rally

According to the article, the event was (co-)sponsored by the campus College Democrats. I am certain that ECSU has an equal-access policy and that campus supporters of Governor Romney would be welcome to organize their own event.

No matter how many beautiful,

No matter how many beautiful, fresh apples there are in the barrel, there is always some who can only point to the one they think is rotten! How small can you get?

The worth of a photograph

Skin color may not determine the quality of a presidential candidate, but it sure can dictate for whom one will vote. That picture is worth 10,000 words. ;)

I noticed

during the "sacred homecoming" parade last week Obamma had a large bus in town and in part of the parade thus politising the event. I guess nothing is sacred to him.

Obama bus

The bus was not President Obama's bus. It belongs to a Super PAC called 1911 United.

Pride

Hey cap. "Our man, right or wrong". ;)
