Here we go again with the gang shootings!
Please don't tell me the gang shootings/drive-by's are going to start up again. It wasn't very long ago when there was a shooting every week. The problem is that the authorities let these members of our society get away with unlawful behavior. These gang bangers cruise around Elizabeth City in their ghetto cruisers leaning back in their seats looking cool. I guarantee these cool riders are doing something unlawful, illegal, unethical or just plain wrong. The police need to crack down on these thugs and constantly harass them so they won't be on our streets. The authorities know who all these gang bangers are because they have their mug shots on the wall. Elizabeth City as a community needs to chase these gang banger thugs right out of town before we get over run with them. They are like rats, they need to be exterminated!
And It's not even hot yet...smh
This shooting issue has to be resolved very quickly. The police needs to STEP UP and not be afraid of these animals.Stop allowing these animals a slap on the wrist,a pass to go home or back to the streets.KEEP THEM IN JAIL.Cause truth be told.They'll go back anyway.Elizabeth City has gotten so bad, kids can't even play outside without parents worrying about a stray bullet hitting their kid/s in certain areas.Older people are getting afraid to even walk places.I myself are starting to be afraid to even walk to etc.places,because it seems like everyday; another shooting is reported.This not the Elizabeth City I once knew.It's time to STOP ignoring the issue and resolve them.

Thanks SpeakTheTruth. It isn't the Elizabeth City I knew growing up in the 50's either. Seems some elements think it's okay to (mis)behave the way their heroes do on the movie screen. They think it's macho and "manly" to drive around shooting up the town, taking down the "bad guys," and risking all for the adventure of it. What they fail to see is they ARE the "bad guys." Maybe the community needs to stand up as one and put this trash on notice. Even the worst people want to be respected. Maybe it's time they find out they aren't.
