Siren, emergency notification system not used in storm

Elizabeth City’s tornado siren wasn’t activated and Pasquotank County’s emergency notification system wasn’t used prior to last Friday’s tornadoes. But even if they had been used, neither system would have done much good alerting residents of the coming danger, the county’s emergency management coordinator says.
