The only viewpoints I read in

The only viewpoints I read in all of this discussion is how various other folks feel about school uniforms. Has this topic been discussed at PTA meetings? If so, how do the parents and students feel about wearing their School's uniform? Shouldn't their opinions carry some credence in this discussion?

Another ECPPS BOE Great Idea! "NOT"!

The ECPPS Board of Education comes up with all these brilliant ideas and programs without getting input from the community, principals and teachers. Some of these board members have no training in the area of Education however give their opinions on educational subjects. They make decisions on educational policies without proper knowledge and input. This has been the problem for decades with ECPPS. If H.L.Tigg Community School wants to have uniforms for their 20 students then let them. But you don't have to make it a county wide policy. Uniforms take away from individuality and just because one board member recommends it doesn't mean its a good idea. If they do adopt the uniform policy then make it a policy from elementary on up to high school. This should include all teachers, principals, administrative personnel and school board members. Mrs. Willis see how you like wearing the same clothes of the same color every day. Thank you Mr. Buck Jolly for being the voice of reason on the board.

Great! Do it!

Forget being nice, very strict uniforms are needed. Watch any program about schools that were turned around and you will notice at least 70 percent went with a uniform. I am not saying uniforms are the only key but a start to emphasis what is important, learning.

Amen!

I agree with you 150%! Could not have said it any better!
