Three Elizabeth City teens were being held at Albemarle District Jail Thursday following an incident at the Northeastern High School gym the night before in which one of them was discovered carrying a pistol.

Im sure the Reverend Barber and the NAACP will pull the race card on this one. A felony is a felony no matter the color of the skin. They had bad intentions and the Deputies did a great job dissolving the situation.

Profiling
Very obvious, profiling. Let the DA handle this, he will blow it. Just give each of them several hundred thousand dollars, and apologize for proviling. Then fire the Sheriff and all his profiling Deputies. We must protect the rights of these boys.

Punks making a big scene is so typical of the current intimidation games these wannabe toughies play to avoid criminal charges. They're too stupid to realize that making a scene only makes it more obvious that they're concealing something. But then, intelligence is not one of the stronger traits exhibited by these types. The continued vigilance and sharp eyes of the Sheriff's Dept. will send the right message to these perps that they can't violate the law without repercussions. Thanks, Sheriff Cartwright, for your diligence in keeping respectable citizens safe.
