Local law enforcement officials, with assistance from animal rights officials, confiscated several dogs that were involved in a widespread dog fighting operation, earlier this week and last week. Also confiscated were dog fighting equipment, such as treadmills, plus first aid suppliles, like antibiotics to treat wounds. The operation was part of a two-year investigation that included Camden, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties, plus some Elizabeth City locations. The animals are being held at an undisclosed location.
