Base chapel hosts prayer breakfast May 1
The Wings of Faith Aviation Memorial Chapel will host a May 1 Prayer Breakfast. The gathering will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. with continental breakfast provided. Elizabeth City officials and Coast Guard leadership will be involved in the service. Recording Artist Eric Horner will be performing. For more information contact Chaplain Tanis at 335-6202. .

Information Services Division members honored
Two members of the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center's Information Services Division were honored on March 26. Carlynn Gramby received a Certificate of Appreciation for account management of heat assignments. Jason Carpenter received a Certificate of Appreciation for a new Asset Logistics Management Information, or ALMIS, distribution list.
Members earn awards in Engineering Services Division
Numerous awards were presented in the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center's Engineering Services Division on April 8. Aviation Maintenance Technician Senior Chief Kenneth Morris received a Combined Federal Campaign Certificate and his seventh Good Conduct Award. Aviation Maintenance Technician Chief Edwin Ramirez and Aviation Survival Technician Chief Michael Thomas each received their eighth Good Conduct Award. William Duren received a Length of Service Award for 40 years of service, and William Garwood and Goldie Forbes each received Length of Service Awards for 25 years of service. Richard Sinclair and James Cowgill received Certificates of Appreciation. Aviation Maintenance Technician Chief William Price, Avionics Electrical Technician Senior Chief Don Grantham and Karen White each received Combined Federal Campaign Certificates. Bernard Ruetten received a Shield of Freedom pin.
Letters of Appreciation presented
Numerous members of the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center's Industrial Operations Division received Letters of Appreciation on April 15. Letters of Appreciation were presented to James Prince, Eric Spears, Don Winslow and Mark Stoddard. The members were recognized for superb technical expertise and dedication demonstrated by performing repairs during drop-in maintenance. Jason Fantom received a Letter of Appreciation for his outstanding performance in replacing the main gearbox planetary gear housing on an aircraft. Letters of Appreciation were presented to Calvin Thatch, Wallace Elliott, Jermayne Spence, Dean Brooks, Louis Chamblee, Don Crittendon, Antonio Vaughan, William Foreman Jr. and Joseph Berry. They were recognized for outstanding professionalism and superb work in cleaning a crash damaged Navy HH-60 airframe hull. A group of members also received Letters of Appreciation for team effort. Those members are: Mark Stoddard, Don Winslow, John Krebbs, Jr., James Prince, John Shepperd, Melvin Sisk, Eric Spears and Larry Stapleton.
More IOD members honored
Several employees of the Aircraft Repair and Supply Center's Industrial Operations Division were honored on April 15. Aaron D. Chamblee received a Length of Service Award for five years of service. Shield of Freedom pins were awarded to Peter Murray, Kuwarn Dance, Richard Thomas, Jason Fantom, John Spence, Bryan LaRue, Howard Anderson, Jr., Alfred Pope, David Weller, Charles Longer and Ray Latty. John Krebs received a Combined Federal Campaign Key Worker Certificate. Certificates of Appreciation for the Combined Federal Campaign were presented to Henry Morse and Mike Platek.

Base hosts Health and Wellness Fair 2008
Coast Guard Moral, Well-Being and Recreation at Coast Guard Support Center Elizabeth City is hosting the first annual Health and Wellness Fair 2008 on April 23. The goal of the event is to provide military, civilians and contractor employees with access to industry professionals who can provide information and educational material. Exhibitors will provide information in six wellness dimensions, including physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, interpersonal and social and environmental and planetary wellness. Coast Guard reunion set for June
The Chief Petty Officers Association is hosting a Coast Guard Biennial Reunion June 20-22. The reunion is open to all ranks of active duty and retired personnel who have ever been stationed in Elizabeth City. Parenting seminar comes to Portsmouth
