When I was at Marvel Comics we published a shared imprint called “Amalgam” with DC Comics, where we merged our characters to create new ones for this fanciful series. I have the feeling that “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” did just that: The book by Cassandra Clare that this movie’s based on borrows a little from here and there ... and then amalgamates them into this fantasy adventure.
