All COA nursing grads pass

All COA nursing grads pass national exam. All 14 students of College of The Albemarle’s recently graduated practical nursing class have passed their national certification exams and are now licensed. Those students graduated in July and included the following: From Chowan County, Odessa Gordon; Currituck County: Danny T. Ross; Dare County, Barbara Ilnicka, Maria Katherine Overton and Aishe Saliasi; Gates County, Samantha Lynn Hinson; Pasquotank County, Gracen Nicole Basnight, Marsha Wilson Bundy, Alison Fae Harris, Raphael S. Lindsey, Amy Wallace McDonald, Rashidah Nakijoba and Heather M. Rees; Perquimans County, Melissa D. Kelley.



Jacqueline H. Poole of the Chemistry, Physics and Geology Department at Elizabeth City State University, completed graduation requirements for The Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Leadership at Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Odessa Gordon always knew that nursing was in her soul, but as a young mother with an autistic child, she put her college plans on hold after high school graduation.
