If you’re looking for a place to ring in the new year we’ve collected a list of area places ready to provide you with a spot to do just that. Here’s the list we came up with:

• New Years Eve Show

The Onley Place hosts music by Riddle and Phil McMullen.

The Onley Place is located in the Belvidere region of Perquimans County. The shows put on by Steve Casper and friends are some of the best kept secrets in the Albemarle. Folks head over to Casper’s red barn from all over the region and even out of state. A catered dinner starts at 6 p.m. The show runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are required and you’d best act fast because they fill up. Call 252-297-2347.

• New Year’s Eve Dance

Chowan Golf and Country Club in Edenton is hosting dinner at 7 p.m. and at dancing 8:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Call 252-482-3606 to reserve your table.

• New Year’s Eve at Groupers

Ring in the new year while enjoying a view of the Pasquotank River at Groupers Restaurant. The folks at Groupers are hosting musician Dave Cynar. The festivitieds start at 9:30 p.m. The cost is $20 which includes a New Year’s toast, party favors and breakfast.

• Party at the Shrine Club

Enjoy a New Year’s Eve party at the Elizabeth City Shrine Club in Camden County, located on Chantilly Road. The club hosts DJ Taz from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The cost $10 or $15 per couple. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Call 252-335-7050 for more information.

• New Year’s Eve at River House

The River House Restaurant in Edenton will be open through midnight for New Years Eve. Enjoy historic Edenton and a view of the Chowan River while celebrating the coming of 2012. For more information call 252-482-2300.

• New Year’s Eve Bash

Levels in downtown Elizabeth City hosts DJ Jack of Spade, including a cash balloon drop and party favors. The party starts at 10 p.m. The cost is $15 before 11 p.m. For more information call 252-338-5288.

• Christmas Lights

Enjoy one last night of the “Camden Christmas Lights on the River” at 204 Valley Road, Camden, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly through Dec. 31. Donations requested for local SPCA.
