About 270 riders participated in this year's TarWheel Century bike ride in Camden County. The event got underway around 8 a.m. Saturday from Camden County High School. Participants could choose between three courses, each a bit longer than the other - 33 miles, 66 miles and 100 miles - and each winding their way through southern Camden County.
