Two of Northeastern’s family acts will be on display at the 1A/2A East Region swim meet Friday at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary.

Senior Charles Jarvis and freshman sister Caroline have both qualified in the 50 and 100 freestyle events while soph Delves Breaux and ninth-grade sibling Elizabeth each made it in the 200 and 500 freestyle events.

All four will be swimming on region qualifying relay teams, too.

Overall NHS will have the largest local contingent in Cary. Northeastern qualified for 20 individual and team berths. Pasquotank earned nine spots and Edenton and Camden four each.

Currituck has three entries in Saturday’s 3A East Region meet, also at the Triangle Aquatic Center.

Based on qualification times, Northeastern’s boys 200 free relay (fourth) and 400 free relay (fifth) are the highest-seeded area participants.

The top 12 in each event advance to the state meet.

Charles Jarvis is the highest-seeded area individual. He has the fifth-fastest time in the 50 free with a clocking of 23.48. Justin Morrell of Carrboro (22.35) is the top seed. Jarvis is also seeded 12th in the 100 free.

Delves Breaux has the sixth-fastest qualifying time in the 500 free and seventh-best in the 200 free.

At last year’s region meet, Charles jarvis (ninth in 200 free, eighth in 50 free), Delves Breaux (eighth in 500 free), Trey Kitchen of Pasquotank (ninth in 50 free) and boys relay teams from Pasquotank (sixth in 200 free, 10th in 200 medley, 12th in 400 free) and Northeastern (eighth in 200 free and ninth in 400 free) all advanced to the state meet.

NORTHEASTERN

Charles Jarvis (50 and 100 free), Roy Marriner (100 back and 100 fly), Delves Breaux (200 and 500 free), Cole Twiford (100 fly), John Meads (200 free), Caroline Jarvis (50 and 100 free), Elizabeth Breaux (200 and 500 free), Alisha Wilson (50 free), Lily Donnell (100 back).

Also, the boys 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays and the girls 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays.

EDENTON

Stephen Chesson (100 and 200 free) and the girls 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.

PASQUOTANK

Trey Kitchen (50 and 100 free), Alex Elliott (50 free), Ariah Miller (100 fly), Taylor Guarracino (200 free), the girls 400 free relay and the boys 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays.
