The Pasquotank Sheriff's Office is investigating allegations of an improper relationship between a teacher and a student at Pasquotank County High School.
Sheriff Randy Cartwright confirmed Thursday that sheriff's deputies had removed a computer from the school to send to the State Bureau of Investigation. However, the SBI is otherwise not involved in the case, he said.
He said no arrests have been made, and he declined to comment further.
Tony Stewart, superintendent of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools, could not be reached for comment Thursday.
