An Amber Alert issued for a Kill Devil Hills girl was canceled Sunday morning after she was found safe in Chesapeake, according to officials.
The girl, Neviah Faith Dobson, 4, was found with her alleged abductor, her mother Shelby Nichole Dobson, 22, according to news reports.
The Kill Devil Hills Police Department issued the Amber Alert Saturday after night.
Chesapeake police early Sunday morning notified Kill Devil Hills police that the girl was found safe and was in the custody of Chesapeake Social Services. The mother was taken into custody, awaiting extradition back to Kill Devil Hills, according to reports.
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety posted the cancellation of the Amber Alert on its website.
