CAMDEN — Students in Camden County Schools scored highest in the region on tougher statewide testing last year, so it’s not unusual Camden’s teachers also ranked the highest for effectiveness in the classroom.

Camden and Pasquotank

are not comparable. When the statistics of the two counties are comparable, then we may start comparing the school systems. Until then, congratulations Camden on serving the population you have and congratulations Pasquotank on serving the population you have.

Proud of our teachers!

I would like to congratulate the Camden Co. teachers on their fine performance and evaluation results! I am sure that their Superintendent, Mr. Hawkins is very proud and he should be. I also want to say that there are many fine teachers in the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Co. school district as well, despite the evaluation results they received. Those numbers do not give an accurate reflection of the quality of teachers we have. Keep your heads up and keep giving the 110% you are giving to your students. There are many examples of teachers going above and beyond the call of duty for their kids. Thank you for your service!
