Christmas marched down Main Street Sunday with a nip in the air and no rain. The clear night was good news for the Elizabeth City Jaycees Parade that was postponed under forecast of rain last week. A few puddles were the only remnants of a more recent threat.

I want to know

I want to know who sent the email to the organizers telling them certain groups weren't going to march because the parade was moved to Sunday.

It was a very good parade this year

It was a very good parade this year. Actually very classy. What I mean in years past some entrees were barely decorated advertisements. Not this year and I applaud everyone in and who organized the event. The mega sized farm equipment (barely fit on the road and barely cleared under the power lines) was a hit. Speaking of farm, I'm glad to see good representation from our agriculture residents again. Overall great showing!
