Elizabeth City is gearing up for at least six miles’ worth of street-paving this year, now that City Council has agreed to seek bids for a major street replacement project.

Please, use the money you're planning to waste on renovating the old ECMS building to pave the roads in our town. Please.

I think they would be better off spending

the Powell bill money on Road St. between Church and Ehringhaus. Not that I am sure I can stomach any more road work mind you. I know it is not a city road but if the state isn't going to fix it somebody needs to.
