COA: Sterritt pushed lease

If DuPont or some other major company showed interest in the property “I guarantee we’d bulldoze (the COA facility) down.”

Joe Winslow

This is exactly why Commissioner Dr. Sterritt should retire.

This is exactly why Commissioner Dr. Sterritt should retire from politics. He is totally out of touch.

I totally agree with Winslow.

The Commerce Park should not be the permanent home for COA's ballfield. Isn't the county saying they are going to have to raise taxes this very year. One of the best ways to avoid raising taxes is to acquire new business taxpayers. The Commerce Park needs to be available for business. Since business ventures usually take at least a couple years to move in I can see the short term lease but that is all.

I agree a 10 mile distance is not very desirable for an athletic field.
