How would you describe your job? My primary responsibility is to manage commercial relationships in the
Elizabeth City area and partner with our clients to reach their financial goals. I am also responsible for the overall performance of the branch.

Has your job been affected by changes in technology or other changes? We are becoming an "on-demand" society that has forced banks to provide new ways to get information to clients. Some examples would be e-mail alerts, cell phone text alerts, automated banking, online banking, etc.
Besides salary, what benefits do you derive from your work? 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, wellness program, AD&D program, decreased loan and banking fees.
What are the long-term or indirect benefits of your job? BB&T is one of the few companies that still provides a pension plan at no cost to the employee. BB&T also matches 401(k), 100 percent of any contributions up to six percent of the employee's salary. Over a long period of time, this makes a significant difference.
How do you see your job benefiting the larger community? Several ways. First, I am on several non-profit advisory boards and some of my co-workers are also on local boards. Second, the bank donates money every year to numerous local organizations. Finally, I get to help people everyday,
and this provides a tremendous benefit to the community.
