I repair, remove or replace any sheet metal component or structural component from an aircraft. They manufacture as many parts here as possible.

Has your job been affected by changes in technology or other changes? Yes, going from screwdrivers to cordless

screwdrivers and magnifying glasses to bore scopes that provide a

better visual look at parts.

Besides salary, what benefits do you derive from your work? The camaraderie here. Supporting Homeland Security here with the Coast Guard.

What are the long-term or indirect benefits of your job? The industry is steady growing as far as technology. I also have a 401(k).

How do you see your job benefiting the larger community? The economic benefits that we provide for Elizabeth City and the area.
