Allen Eye Associates and Carolina Plastic Surgery have moved their offices from downtown Elizabeth City to their new location at 105 Medical Drive. The new facilities are centrally located in the medical community surrounding Albemarle Hospital. The offices have three exam rooms each, giving each doctor more room.
Dr. Susan Lovelle is a board certified plastic surgeon and offers a number of cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures, laser hair removal and facial rejuvenation.
In the new facilities, Carolina Plastic Surgery is able to offer even better service and prices for their customers. Procedures can be performed as safely as at the hospital, at approximately half of the normal hospital facility fees.
"I've got a small operating suite. Now we can do cosmetic surgery such as tummy tucks, liposuction, and breast augmentation here at the office," Dr. Lovelle said. Performing the procedures in their office, Lovelle says, is more private, so all of the attention is focused on one patient at a time. "This year we have a licensed skin care specialist, We're really excited about that," Dr. Lovelle said.
Gail "Peachy" Freese, a licensed skin care specialist, joins Carolina Plastic Surgery this year. Facials, chemical peels, microderm abrasion, and additional corrective skin care treatments will be offered.
When it comes to eye care, there's no substitute for quality, according to Dr. Kevin P. Allen of Allen Eye Associates, who keeps his eyes focused on "care" while bringing some new services to his Elizabeth City office.
A board certified ophthalmologist, Allen is an experienced eye physician and treats a wide variety of eye conditions, performing eye surgery- including no-stitch cataract surgery.
"Good eyesight is essential in all phases of life," Allen said, who has more than 12 years experience using state-of-the-art ophthalmologic techniques. Dr. Allen also offers glaucoma surgery, diabetic evaluations, comprehensive eye care and retinal services. Eyelid surgery is performed by Dr. Susan Lovelle. Dr. Allen and Dr. Lovelle are both graduates of Columbia University in New York City, the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of New York and the fifth oldest in the United States. Dr. Susan Lovelle graduated in 1988, Dr. Kevin P. Allen the class of 1986.
