Is color in or out this season?
Color is in high gear this season. A kaleidoscope of color is in full bloom from bold greens and yellows to shiny purples. Pick a shade and sweep it across your whole eyelid.
My look needs an update.
Pick up some Navy blue eyeliner! A new trend is wearing it on your bottom lash line. I also recommend not matching the liner to your eye color. Let the contrast make a statement.
What kind of concealer can I use under my eye circles?
Welcome to my world, if getting a little extra rest isn't an option... try using a lighter cream concealer such as Luxiva Creamy concealer. When using an under eye concealer, use a concealer brush. To apply, use circler motions, then dab or pat for coverage. Also, don't forget your eyelids. Remember less is more. A good nights rest is always helpful too.
When should I toss out old makeup?
Spring is the perfect time to clean out that old makeup bag. Eye products are usually the biggest concern. Toss those mascaras after 3 months, cream eye shadows should only stick around for six months. Powdered shadows can stay around much longer, up to 12 months. Eyeliner pencils can last as long as 3 years so long as you sharpen regularly. When it comes to the other items, the general rule is if it's a liquid 6 months, and if it's a solid 12 months. When in doubt throw it out! Don't cry ladies, close your eyes and toss.
Trouble with eye puffiness?
Give your puffy tired eyes a treat. Try putting your favorite eye cream in the refrigerator. Also try Luxivas Triple Action Eye gel from Merle Norman.
Trouble getting foundation to match?
Leave this one up to the professionals. Stop by your local Merle Norman and get a free foundation check. Remember, foundation is for evening out skin tone, not masking your natural beauty. Your foundation should always feel light and look flawless.
