Kevin Andrew Davis, of the 1300 block of Brothers Lane, Elizabeth City, was issued a criminal summons April 1 and charged with passing worthless check.

Teressa Williams Blanton, of the 600 block of Old U.S. Highway 17 South, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 3 and charged with a grand jury indictment for insurance fraud and felony conspiracy to commit insurance fraud. A $25,000 unsecured bond was set.

Timothy Moses Bright, of the 600 block of Okisko Road, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 4 and charged with civil contempt. He was confined at ADJ in lieu of a $800 secured bond.

Santonio Taurus Gregory, 23, of the 600 block of U.S. Highway 158, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 6 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was confined at ADJ in lieu of a $2,000 secured bond.

Jermell Grubbs, 18, of the 300 block of W. Cypress Street, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 6 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. He was confined at ADJ in lieu of a $300 secured bond.

Kendall Joseph Ranknis, 21, of the 1000 block of Wareham Street, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 7 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on a written promise to appear in court as required.

Alexander Tyshawn Johnson, 17, of the 500 block of W. Fearing Street, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 7 and charged with possession of alcohol under 21. He was confined at ADJ in lieu of a $500 secured bond.
