Perquimans Sheriff

Robert Piwowarski, of the 100 block of Sassafras St., Hertford, was arrested April 20 and charged with two counts of violating the animal control ordinance.

George Frierson, of the 400 block of Sandy Cross Road, Belvidere, was arrested April 20 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $3,800 secured bond.

Steven Bembridge, of the 100 block of Bennets Creek Drive, was arrested April 21 and charged with larceny and injury to real property. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Charles White, of the 100 block of Swayne Lane, Hertford, was arrested April 24 and charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child. A $5,000 secured bond was set.

Camden Sheriff

Joshua Coty Christopher, 20, of the 3200 block of Dartmouth St., Portsmouth, Va. was arrested April 25 and charged with driving with no operator's license, speeding and displaying a fictitious license plate. He was confined at ADJ in lieu of a $500 secured bond.

Beth A. Loyd, 37, of the 100 block of Chamberlain Road, South Mills, was issued a criminal summons April 26 and charged with passing a worthless check.

Arthur Lloyd Tann Jr. 27, of the 100 block of Run Swamp Road, Camden, was issued a criminal summons April 25 and charged with cruelty to animals.

Wilburn Leslie Miller, 27, of the 200 block of Country Club Road, Camden, was arrested April 25 and charged with assault inflicting physical injury. A $1,000 secured bond was set.

Samuel Gene Lathan, 31, of the 200 block of Main St., South Mills, was arrested April 27 and charged with communicating threats. He was confined at ADJ for 48 hours.

Douglas Wayne McClung, 25, of the 100 block of Woodland Way, Camden, was arrested April 25 and charged with communicating threats and injury to personal property. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.

Elizabeth City Police

Rodney James Brooks, 19, of the 1400 block of River Road, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 23 and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, and selling or delivering schedule II of a controlled substance. He was confined at Gates County Jail.

John Richard Staffelli, 21, of the 1700 block of Edgewood Drive, Elizabeth City, was arrested April 24 and charged with driving while license revoked. A $1,000 unsecured bond was set.
