Blood drives. The Greater Albemarle Chapter of the American Red Cross will host blood drives at the Up River Friends fellowship hall in Perquimans County in the lobby of Elizabeth City State University's New Student Center Tuesday from noon to 6 p.m.; and at New Hope UMC fellowship hall Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and at Shiloh Baptist Church in Camden Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Safety Education Section of the N.C. Industrial Commission will offer a new 30-hour Accident Prevention Certificate Awareness Program at the Manteo Airport pavilion Feb. 18-22. Currituck crime prevention funds. The Currituck County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council is seeking requests for proposals for $84,329 in funding for juvenile delinquency prevention programs. Pet owners offered spay-neuter vouchers. In recognition of "Spay Day USA", the SPCA of Northeastern, N.C. will offer pet owners who live in Pasquotank or Camden County a voucher to help pay for the spaying or neutering of their cat or dog. The voucher will pay part of the cost for the spay or neuter surgery.
