Polar Plunge in Albemarle Sound. The Chowan County Special Olympics will sponsor the first-ever Polar Plunge into Edenton Bay today, at noon. Registration for the event, a fundraiser for the Special Olympics, will begin in Colonial Park in Edenton at 11 a.m. The minimum donation to participate is $25. Pet owners offered spay-neuter vouchers.
