CURRITUCK - State Sen. Bill Cook, R-Beaufort, and a cosponsor have introduced legislation that effectively ends any tolling or proposed tolling on North Carolina's ferry routes, including the Knotts Island ferry, filed by Cook and state Sen. Norman Sanderson, R-Pamlico, removes mandatory tolls on the three ferry routes that already have them and prevents a fee from being added to four other routes without them.
