I support most of what you

I support most of what you are espousing. Your comment, 'I firmly believe that a dog is whatever its owner makes it' is a truism. It is also true that dogs, horses, kids, etc. usually reflect the mannerisms of their owners; it is just a natural instinct. All Pit Bull dogs are not vicious. I have too many friends that own Pitt Bull dogs and I know first hand how these dogs react to normal conditions. They can, however, be trained to be vicious.

sallie not tony

I am glad that these crimes were uncovered, but so disappointed that this criminal enterprise was uncovered by the local cops. Not that they don't do a good job, but in our current legal situation, the thugs won't be held accountable. Hopefully the trifecta of drugs, guns and dogs will bring on a Federal charge. This is the only hope for any justice, as our DA will plead these charges down to whatever he has to so as not to have to go to trial, i.e. do any work. (this is why all the recent drug busts are Federal)

I'm stunned that this is happening right under our noses. At least one residence just a few blocks from my home.

I see people walking pit bulls. I don't want to "profile" but the owners seem to always be men in baggy pants and hoodies. I walk past homes with pit bulls charging the fences and think that they look vicious. I wonder what the occupants would need with these huge menacing dogs?

I also firmly believe that a dog is whatever its owner makes it.

These dogs are not the perps, they are the victims. The people that no one is talking about is the people who bet on these dog fights. Win, lose or draw, these fights only occured because someone was making money on the betting.

These beasts should be sent to a very special hell.
