The city’s Downtown Improvement Grant Program now works on a competitive, points-based system, following the Elizabeth City City Council modifying the program in hopes of spurring job creation.

Hats off to the Finance Committee, and to Councilman Stimatz, for making above changes to the DIG program. This well defined scoring system insures the money is being well spent, with the main priority filling vacant downtown buildings. Thank-you for your efforts! Please continue to do good work!
