ECSU IDs 3 program officials linked to improperly billed calls

Elizabeth City State University has released the names of the three people who headed up the now-defunct African Studies Program that was the subject of a recent state audit that uncovered more than $140,000 in improperly billed long-distance phone calls.

That's a lot of money down a rat hole there.

I have to say that ECSU has provided many

students with successful careers. I commend them for that. At the same time I agree there is a whole lot wrong out there. Bring in more UNC control and I think that will help, although UNC is not perfect either.
