Final negotiations between Pasquotank County and Sentara Healthcare are “getting down to littler and littler items,” but the county may still miss its Feb. 1 target for Sentara to take over Albemarle Hospital, the county commission board chairman says.

They need to specify where the $40 mill investment is spent

They need to specify where the $40 mill investment is spent in detail in the lease. AH properties and groups span from Elizabeth City all the way to Manteo. Hopefully they are specifying the 40 million is spent only for upgrades to the main hospital otherwise Sentara could use the terms to upgrade the beach hospital building and bypass Elizabeth City going after the better insured population.
