Bettie Parker isn’t running for county commissioner to prove anything about a black candidate’s ability to win a countywide election for Pasquotank commissioner. That’s not to say she doesn’t recognize how historic her election to the Board of Commissioners would be.

I hope she is elected. I

I hope she is elected. I hope she is elected by the independent vote; the voters that vote for person, not party.

I applaud

Mrs Parker for running. We always need fresh ideas and new candidates.

Make History

elect the first Republican Commissioner to an at large seat since Reconstruction!! Hold down spending, lower taxes, and reduce our debt.
