Is Asheville near Elizabeth City?

Asheville is about 8 hours away from E.C. So why is this in the Daily Advance?

Far out "bad" news?

The only reason that news from afar would be news here is because the local muggings, thefts, killings, shooting, drug dealings, etc, are the only things newsworthy. So if we see something ghastly outside of our realm, then maybe we will think here isn't so bad!
