A long-awaited Mexican restaurant appears to be not far from opening off the busy Halstead Extended Avenue corridor.

Blaaaggh

Yeaaa . . one more yuck on a plate bad Mexican restaurant that is only slightly different from fast food. Line up for your plates of crappy beans, rice and whatever flavorless muck wrapped in a sorry tortilla. It's a good thing that alcoholic drinks are cheap. I would dare someone to try to tell the difference between any of the Mexican restaurants in town. La Tiendita used to be above average but now is the same exact muck as the others. I'm just shocked that no one is opening high-end Mexican restaurants where the food has real flavor and looks relatively fresh. The same thing happened to Chinese food, except line up for the botulism all you can eat buffet. So much for quality.
