Is it already time?

Wow. Is it time to vote this joker out of office already? Look, bottom line, when the guy can't even win the election in his own county (he lost the Chowan county vote to Bill Luton in 2012 3711 votes to 3548) and these are the folks that know you the best, then you probably aren't fit to be elected representative. It seems that the Chowan voters probably knew best.

Let's compare apples with apples

I wouldn't exactly call a difference of 163 votes anything close to a lopsided or a landslide victory. Personally, I would call it reasonably close and very much the norm in comparison with past elections. Just because a few more voters in Chowan were more enamored by Bill Luton , it doesn't make a case that they know best about anything. Luton was a local, with local exposure from his past antics as an elected school board member. Mr. Steinberg was a relative newcomer to the political field of this area. For any candidate, in any election, to win in ALL precincts is a bit much to expect. As a newcomer, Mr. Steinberg had to convince a lot of people of his qualifications and abilities to win their vote. I think he has done an amazing and very good job for his short time in office and am quite willing to give him my vote in the next election to continue his efforts. Abraham Lincoln aptly put it into words when he stated: "You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time". The more pressing question I have is, "Where is Mr. Wonderful (Bill Luton) now?" He, along with his illustrious campaign manger Haddad, both seem to have dropped off the face of the earth since his election defeat. Perhaps he has finally come to realize that all of the voters are not totally stupid or as easy to fool as he once thought.

I think this a case similar to

the one Jesus spoke of when he cautioned that a prophet isn't honored in his hometown. I am not not saying Bob is a prophet, just that Chowan had some issues with pride and prejudice.

Well, I disagree.

No surprise there. I will vote for almost anyone other than Mr. Steinburg given his extreme Conservative positions. I am not alone.

I bet you would vote for a dead dog if it ran on Democrat ticket. Pete Lacy

That's your opinion

You don't think or consider. I at least consider each race on it's own merits and HAVE voted Republican in recent years. You, not so much.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You've got my vote and support 110%!

Thank you

for choosing to run again. Voter ID and gun laws are reasons I will vote for you.
