Hats off to the coast Guard

A job well done by our men and women who help keep the us safe and don't get the recognition they deserve. Thank you coasties for the job you do !!!

Yes But

All the article stated was that a call for assistance received. The coast guard did respond, but was the boater in distress? If all he needed was a tow, than my tax dollars were wasted. If all he needed was ungrounding than he or the coast guard should have called SeaTow or BoatUS. What would have happen if another boater in a true emergency would have called and the coast guard was off station, being a nice guy.

Another job well done!!

I will always love and support our Coasties - they are awesome :)

I agree Scarlett. Having

I agree Scarlett. Having spent many years boating in my own boats, it was always very reassuring to me to know that if I should encounter a situation I could not handle with my boat, I could always depend upon the Coast Guard for assistance; thankfully, I never had to call them. But I could have; that is what makes the Coast Guard so very important for those of us that enjoy boating.
