COROLLA — Hotels and beach homes are booked, but how much tourists are spending on the Currituck Outer Banks remains to be seen. One thing hasn’t helped. Hurricane Earl’s brush past the barrier islands dampened retail sales for one of the remaining weekends in the summer season.
