Yes, it's about time!
As a parent of 3 students that have been or still at PCHS, I'm glad a press box is finally in the stages of being built. It will help tremendously at games and graduations. Now the school can even host events (which will bring people and tax dollars to Elizabeth City) which they couldn't before because there was no press box. It will be nice this year, if it is complete, to be able to HEAR at graduation!
Press Box
You've got to be kidding. Get academic standards raised first, then have a tempest in a tea pot about a press box. Take the $7K that are going to be used for this boondoggle at the tax payers' expense and use it to repair some leaking roofs. Anybody in the Superintendent's office or the Board of Education want to provide full disclosure to us taxpayers as to what the next 3 capital 'needs' they have prioritized lower down the priority list than this press box? I suspect not!
