It seems that the politicians, bless their grubby little hearts, have finally got around to discussing the immigration problem. About 10 or 15 years too late, I might add. And the discussion should be less about the immigration problem and more about the illegal immigrant problem.

My first question must be about the president. According to what he says, I’m wondering if he knows what “illegal” means. I’m also wondering (based on what he’s done) if he knows the difference between “legal” and “illegal.” Or if he cares. Maybe anything he wants to do is legal and anything he’s against is illegal.

I can’t help but wonder, too, if the politicians who want to pardon all the illegal aliens and make them citizens even realize that all those illegal aliens are criminals. That’s right — they’re all lawbreakers. Is that the kind of people we want to invite into our country — those who are willing to break the law to gain their personal objectives? Isn’t that the reason all lawbreakers do what they do?

Under present law foreign criminals are prohibited from entering this country. Is that law to be repealed in favor of a more lenient one? Or does the fact that they’re already here let the politicians ignore the law?

Are politicians naive enough to think that entering this country illegally is the only law illegal aliens are willing to break? The United States used to return immigrant lawbreakers to their own country but the present crop of politicians wants to welcome the aliens (and their lawlessness) with open arms.

Criminal activity is not only being overlooked, it seems to be the reason those aliens are to be allowed to become citizens. Are votes so precious that the politicians have to import lawbreakers to keep then in office?

Home-grown criminals lose their right to vote upon conviction for their crimes. Politicians want to do just the opposite for illegal aliens — reward foreign criminals by making them citizens. Some reward, huh? If I could spell it I’d give them all a Bronx cheer!
