Volunteers meeting each of the Red Cross’ three fundraising targets receives special recognition. A “Hero” raising $1,000 receives an invitation to a reception with the Coast Guard rescuers of the HMS Bounty prior to the Victory Celebration honoring that rescue. A “Super Hero” raising $2,500 gets TV, print and social media exposure, the fundraiser’s company name on the “Heroes” Web page along with the pre-reception invitation. A “Super Duper Hero” raising $5,000 additionally receives a company link placed on the “Heroes” website and a check presentation photo opportunity to be shared with local media.
