This whole issue is a joke and a waste of space in the news and newspaper. The only reason this student is trying to run for office is to stir up racial issues that arent even the issue. He is not a resident of this community therefore he is not eligible to run for office. He could be green, blue, orange it doesnt matter. Stop pulling the race card when you dont get your way or when you want your 15 minutes of fame. Also, to the Daily Advance, stop wasting space with this useless topic.

As an old Coastie I'm familiar with a saying called "whistling up a slack halyard". This translates in civilian parlance to the term "blowing smoke up someone's a--". Before I ever dabbled in politics a shrewd politician once told me it's a politician's job to use the media, but it's the media's job not to be used. Jon Hawley and TDA, you've been used.
When the color of ones skin or the chose of ones vote becomes more important than the content of ones soul, we all do injustice to the hopes of the authors of our great democratic constitution.
