GREENVILLE — Police think a 23-year-old man shot to death in Greenville was targeted by rival gang members.

Investigators say officers on patrol around 2 a.m. Wednesday heard gunshots and moments later found Jamar Clark wounded in a parking lot. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden says Clark was a member of the Bloods gang and detectives think members of a rival gang shot him.

Police are questioning several people, but no charges have been filed.

Aden says his officers have done good work getting rid of gangs in Greenville, but more must be done to keep people in the city safe.

goodshot

one less gangbanger on the street, wish they would aim better when fighting amongst themselves....where are al Sharpton and the rev buffet bandit barber?...guess they don't care if a black shoots a black eh?

GOOD JOB?

Allowing these people to kill each other is a permanent solution, one dead one in jail, how is this a "good job"? It's sad that the only solution to gangs the city and the PD. accept and enforce is allow them to kill each other.
