Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cummins celebrate 50th wedding anniversary.
Donald Cummins of Mattoon, Ill. and Martha Jo Raney of Elnora, Ind. were wed in the Elnora Christian Church, Dec. 22, 1962. Martha Jo Raney Cummins is a 1960 graduate of Elnora High School. Donald is a 1955 Graduate of Mattoon High School and a 1959 graduate of the University of Illinois in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummins are the parents of two daughters, Christina Cummins Lovingfoss and Kelly Jo Cummins Hampton; and five grandchildren, Breanna Hampton, Riley Hampton, Connor Lovingfoss, Logan Lovingfoss and Kaitlyn Lovingfoss.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummins have resided in California, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas and overseas in Saudia Arabia. Mr. Cummins worked as a supervising project engineer at refineries in the aforementioned locations. Mrs. Cummins worked as a school psychologist and retired from Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, Texas where she was a counselor. Mr. and Mrs. Cummins continue to travel extensively and continue to enjoy trips on their Motoryacht, The Admiral.
Don and Jo Cummins currently reside in North Carolina, where Martha (Jo) Cummins is a registered state lobbyist. Mr. and Mrs. Cummins recently attended the North Carolina Governor's Inauguration Ball. Mrs. Cummins is also the author of two novels, ENCRYPTION by Dr. M.J. Raney and THE INEFFABLE FILE, by Dr. M. J. Raney Cummins.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummins have planned a family celebration in the islands of the Turks and Caicos.
