Chris and Mandy Whitehurst of Hertford, announce the birth of their son, Alex Stephen Whitehurst at Chowan Hospital, Edenton, on Dec. 7, 2011. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joins big brother, Gavin James Whitehurst.
The maternal grandparents are Mark and Debby Futrell of Hertford.
The paternal grandparents are John and Glenda Whitehurst of South Mills.
The great-grandparents are Christine Futrell of Hertford and Mario and Inez Villafranca of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
