Okerlund - Pierce
Anna Elizabeth Pierce of Elizabeth City and Jacob Richard Okerlund of Norfolk, Va., were united in marriage on Oct. 13, 2012 at The Onley Place in Belvidere. Jason Woolard officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Joyce Pierce of Elizabeth City. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Winslow of Hertford, Peggie and Ernest Anderson of Elizabeth City and Stanley and Elsie Pierce of Hertford. Great-grandmothers are Emily Harrell of Elizabeth City and Margaret Brockett of Hertford.
The groom is the son of Bill and Lisa Okerlund of Norfolk, Va. He is the grandson of Carl and Linda Reed of Brockway, Pa. and Helene Okerlund of Mt. Jewet, Pa.
Bridesmaids were Amy Pierce Frazier and Allison Pierce of Elizabeth City, sisters of the bride and Alison Okerlund of Norfolk, Va., sister of the groom.
Groomsmen were Bill Okerlund of Norfolk, Va., father of the groom and Joe Cartwright of Kill Devil Hills.
Music was provided by Beth Nosay of Greenville, Ryan Nosay of Greenville and Landon Elliott of Kitty Hawk.
Mistress of ceremony was Diane Stallings of Hertford, aunt of the bride.
Program attendants were Brooke and Derek Johnson of Jamestown, N.Y., cousins of the groom.
The catering, flowers and decorations were provided by Debbie White and Lynn James.
The couple honeymooned in the NC Mountains and reside in Elizabeth City.
