It looks like presidential candidate Barack Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, will remain and retire in America, after all — the country he asks our almighty God to damn. The Rev. Wright will be living large in his retirement as he's about to move into his new, lavish 10,000-square-foot home abutting a golf course, and which has a $10 million line of credit attached to the property. Not so bad for a poor, lowly, persecuted preacher.
We're not jealous that the Rev. Wright has a nice place to live, just a little confused. Maybe Oprah opened up her checkbook for him, or maybe he redeemed a big coupon. Anyway, we all wish the Rev. Wright the best, and hope he finds peace on the golf course with all his rich friends as he deserves it, after all his tortured years in the pulpit.
I hope one day he'll realize how much God has blessed him.
