Local officials involved with plans to affiliate Albemarle Hospital with a larger health care system are meeting in closed session this week. According to officials involved, the closed meeting is being held to protect the confidentiality of competitive health care information. Of course they will conduct ALL business in closed session. First they do not what the general public to see how little they know on what they are doing. Closed Session means that they do not trust the general public. Someone may actually ask a real question and demand answers that they can not answer either because of lack of knowledge on what they are doing, or they need to hide the back door deals. Regardless, once public, the public will not have a say. By then it is a done deal. We just poor dumb county folk dat cn't reed or rite.
