The Daily Advance’s editorial on Sunday, Dec. 15 continues the playing of the race card in this city and county. I really wish I had kept all the papers with articles about race issues during the almost 10 years I have lived here. The way your editorial is written suggests you want those in Pasquotank County to feel guilty for wanting a referendum on the 4-2-1 Board of Commissioners restructuring plan even though county voters helped elect President Obama to a second term. That a black president was re-elected means nothing to the few around here who want to wave the race card faster than a nun’s ruler.
